Since 1992, SOTRALENTZ Emballage is committed along with SOTRALENTZ Recycling Service for sustainable management of natural resources through recovery of its products and their recycling.
SOTRALENTZ Recycling Service is a network of collection and recyc ling of used containers (IBC/GRV) of the SOTRALENTZ make. This network is operational over the entire territory of the European Union as well as in the USA.
The European Directive (94/62 CE), re-drafted into French law (decree 94 609 dated 13 July 1994) no longer permits this type of waste to be disposed on land or incinerated and obligates the final user to recover the empty packaging.
Thus, on simple request from the final holder, SOTRALENTZ Recycling Service collects the IBC containers within an average time of 30 days, to recover them in an approved processing centre. This service is at no cost to the final user, provided that the IBC containers are compliant with the detailed specifications submitted for approval earlier.
Else, the recovery of the IBC packaging and the processing of the waste product are to the final holder's charge.
The containers manufactured by SOTRALENTZ Emballage contain steel, wood and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). SOTRALENTZ Recycling Service recovers them and reuses these items.
Wood and steel are used to make new containers, recycled polyethylene is incorporated in the manufacture of plastic palettes, sanitation devices, etc.
